still new at this..

Today I decided to start back up on this blog. After seeing Dylan and Ally being so faithful on theirs, I thought that maybe, just maybe I could do this. This weekend consisted of having my little Maggie darlin' for a few nights. It was my pure joy to take care of her and love on her for a few days while Nick and Ally enjoy some time together before she goes to work next week. I can totally understand because I remember how hard it was for me. It was a busy weekend for Dylan as he helped 'set up' for the 4 generation photo shoot, then off to be on a teen panel for homeschool parents. He did great! Sunday brought fun times at GG's and just trying to re-adjust to the new daylight savings time. That having been said, I guess this will be it. For today anyway.

The end of 2009....

Well here we are at the end of 2009. Wow, what a year it has been. Engagements, weddings, graduations and parties. Tons of changes happening in our lives. Ally was engaged in November 2008 and got married on March 21, 2009. It was a whirlwind planning and all that it entails, but it got done and the wedding was beautiful, if I must say so myself. After taking a few weeks break from planning, etc., I had to get ready for another big event. Gordon's graduation from home school. Another big party, again well worth the effort to plan. Dylan turned 16 and the George Family 16th Birthday Curse continued. This time, I was sick. :( Poor Dylan. He didn't even get a party until October. But he gracefully understood and for that I am very grateful! Thanksgiving and Christmas came, and on Christmas Day Jess proposed to Desire. So, all in all, it has been a very good year! The Lord has blessed this family, and for that I am eternally grateful. I pray 2010 will bring great things, God is sovereign and for that I am very thankful.
Happy New Year to all and God Bless!

First day of school...

Well today was the first day of school for Legacy. Dylan is in the 10th grade and taking some pretty great classes. Aside from being 5 minutes late, wrong books for both Hermenutics and World History, I think he survived. It is a new year with lots of new people! Tonight is going to be the first night of AWANA. I love Thursdays because we usually don't have to cook dinner (Family Cafe @TCC), we spend time together as a church family and teach the Word of God to young kids. Plus as a bonus, we get to visit with friends!

We are new at this!

This is my first attempt at this. I am hoping to be better at it! Tonight was Gordo's last softball game. The team won both games! Yeah! Dylan and I got to enjoy the game while Gordy was not able to make it due to a broken axle on his big truck. He was sorry to not be able to make it, but hopefully will see the play-offs!
Tomorrow starts another year at Legacy Co-op. Only one student this year, Dylan! He will be taking Latin, World History and Hermenutics (sp?). Great teachers for a great year. I am so looking forward to where The Lord is leading us this year!
